Short History
The BMW M is BMW's high-performance model
The BMW Z3 was produced from 1998 to 2002, at the BMW Spartanburg factory.
The BMW Z3 Roadster came onto the market in 1996 and from 1997 an M version with a 3.2 six-cylinder engine was available that delivered 321 hp and took the Z3 Roadster from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
The next M version was released in 2001. The model now had an engine that delivered 325 hp, and took a tenth of a second less to reach 100 km/h.
Description of the BMW Z3 M version
The Z3 M was already a very striking appearance when it was new.
The vehicle is an original Dutch vehicle in beautiful and good condition. It was once updated both cosmetically and technically.
It is in very good original condition with minor signs of use, but no serious damage or rust.
The car was once completely repainted and the paint has a deep shine and is homogeneous in color and the finish quality of the paint is very good.
The body panels are nice and sleek and original and the reveals between the different body panels run nicely parallel.
The trunk with associated upholstery is in good original condition.
The black mohair convertible roof was renewed at some point and is in very good condition.
Fitted are original silver-colored 5-spoke aluminum rims in very good condition.
The tires are Michelin brand, type Pilot Sport 4, front size 225/45 ZR17 (91Y), rear size 245/40 ZR17 (90Y), all with > 6 mm tread depth and in very good condition.
The engine and accessories (collectors, cooling system, injection system, etc.) are according to original specifications for this vehicle and are in good, dirty condition. There are no traces of leakage
The car is not equipped with a radio, but it does have an original anti-theft device and the optional battery switch.
Now, almost 2 decades later, this version is a popular youngtimer. He combines usable sportiness with his own appearance, which makes him popular with a growing audience.
In recent years, interest in this youtimer has grown and prices are rising.
Given the increase in value, this might be the right time to purchase one!
